The award includes a cash prize up to ¥300,000 and free trip to Tokyo, Japan for the ASPaC week. ASPaC Awards invites packaging design submissions following this year’s theme of Inspire. Who can take part? ASPaC is open to all currently enrolled in school in Vietnam or recent graduates. We only accept applications created by 1 person. No maximum submissions. Who is ASPaC? The ASPaC is a project that Japan Foundation and ASPaC Association promote. For nurturing students all across Asia to a young master craftsman, ASPaC holds a package design competition. To connect Asia as one through design, administrative agency of each country, educators all across, enterprises get together. The Asia Student Package Design Competition (ASPaC) is an international cultural exchange project aimed at grooming talented young designers of Asia so as to create a common future driven by “Asia”, “Students” and “Design”. General Information The Prizes Brief: Inspire Create and submit packaging on the topic of Inspire. To inspire is to animate someone with the urge, ability to do or feel something positive or creative. The packaging ideas should embody these ideas. The challenge is to create packages of a kind that have never existed before. If professional designers tackled this challenge in the real world, they would need to deal with issues such as materials, technology and manufacturing costs. Students participants in ASPaC, however, are free to ignore these practical problems and to approach the problem on the purely conceptual level of “Wouldn’t it be great if we could do package design like this?” The Brief View Site in Vietnamese Key Dates Competition is now open for all Students and Recent Graduates living in Vietnam. Deadline for submissions is November 1, 2019. Finalists will travel to Tokyo, Japan for ASPaC Week on December 5–15. Merit prizes will be given to entries that explore interesting ideas and communicate effectively. Winners receive cash prizes and certificates. Judging will be based on overall concept, ideas and execution and will not be divided into each category.
